NEWS 2010

THE PRESENCE OF MANFREDINI AND SCHIANCHI IS DEFINITELY CONSOLIDATED IN THE BRAZILIAN BRICK INDUSTRY

Brazil, which with a GDP that grew by 7% in the first 6 months of 2010, is in fact one of the countries in the world that has been affected less than others by the international crisis and, driving this growth, was undoubtedly the industry building.

In fact, we are witnessing an expansion and modernization of many factories that produce bricks and tiles; thanks above all to the strong demand for excellent quality extruded products.

Manfredini and Schianchi has fit perfectly into this market segment, thanks above all to the presence of its Brazilian production branch: Manfredini and Schianchi do Brasil Ltda.

One of the last contracts concluded by M&S was for the supply of a complete dry raw material preparation plant with Ceramica Constrular LTDA, located in Pouso Redondo, in the state of Santa Catarina.

The plant in question must produce hollow bricks and is equipped with all the latest M&S dry grinding technologies. The action of the PIG hammer mills combined with the screening, in fact, allows the total elimination of the limestone whose presence is detrimental in determining the degree of resistance of the perforated bricks.

Thanks to this notable investment, Ceramica Constrular will be able to double its production and thus satisfy the ever-increasing demand for quality products that the Brazilian market imposes.

CE.CA.FI RELYS ON MANFREDINI AND SCHIANCHI

Carmelo Fior

La Carmelo Fior ceramic (Ce.Ca.Fi), located in the Brazilian city of Cordeiropolis (São Paulo), which together with Santa Gertrudes and Rio Claro is part of the most important Brazilian ceramic hub in the country, has once again entrusted itself to Manfredini and Schianchi. Thanks to the excellent and consolidated relationship between the two companies, M&S will create the "turnkey" dry raw material preparation part for the two new production lines just purchased from Ce.Ca.Fi.

The plant in question will have a production capacity of 60 tons/h and will be equipped with two PIG-A hammer mills, seven latest technology vibrating screens equipped with pneumatic heads, a pendulum mill complete with process filter and three MS38AL Forge Wetting Machines. The supply is completed by loading and mixing at the press using the MSP1130-2003 Rotary Screens. Thanks to this investment Ce.ca.Fi will bring its current production from 2.600.000 m4.100.000/month to 789 mXNUMX/month. It is worth remembering that Brazil is the second largest tile producer in the world, with XNUMX million mXNUMX/year.

It is estimated that with current investments, production in 2010 will rise to 853 million m70/year, of which 80% using dry grinding processes, a technology where, thanks to the presence of its machines and systems in practically XNUMX% of Brazilian ceramics , M&S is the absolute leader.

M&S CONSOLIDATES ITS PRESENCE IN THE FAR EAST

White Horse, a well-known Indonesian ceramic group famous for the production of very high quality white body wall and floor tiles thanks to the research and study of local raw materials by the Manfredini & Schianchi Technology Centre, will equip itself with a complete process of MS DRYTECH dry raw material preparation.

The main benefits of this choice, in addition to the high production and high quality of the final product, will be:

  • Use of local and high viscosity raw materials
  • Electrical consumption < 18kW/t
  • Reduction of gas consumption to just 6mXNUMX/t
  • Total elimination of deflocculants
  • Significant reduction in engobe consumption in the glazing line
  • Absolutely marginal water consumption and CO2 emissions
  • Total recovery of any production waste

ANOTHER M&S BRICK PLANT IN NORTH AFRICA

CERAMIC TEAR
CERAMIC TEARlaceramic

The historic Tunisian company CERAMIC TEAR commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to design and build a new complete turnkey plant for the production of 800 tons per day of very high quality brick.

Thanks to the careful analysis of local raw materials by the M&S Technology Centre, it was possible to use clays with a high content of quartz stones and of large size.

In addition to the complete recovery of production waste, the final product has benefited from a 50% increase in mechanical resistance and a notable homogenization of the surface structure, making it absolutely perfect for those uses where high structural and aesthetic quality is sought.

DOUBLE THE LINE AT SOGUTSEN

Sogutsen Seramik Sanay, a Turkish ceramic group of the highest level in the production of ceramic products, has recently commissioned M&S to double its dry grinding department.

With this supply Sogutsen will be able to produce over 46.000 m4/day of monoporous for red body covering, thus managing to satisfy the continuous increase in requests for its product which in recent years has stood out in the entire Turkish market for the aesthetic qualities due to the brilliance of surfaces and consistency of quality. The line supplied is composed of a PIG DRYER Hammer Mill, a MOLOMAX 230/38 Pendulum Mill and two FORGIA MS/XNUMXAL Granulators.

The new plant deals with a formulation with 12% average humidity and 40% hard raw materials. The production yield is 42 tons/hour with a grain size with a residue of 12% > 63 microns of 0% > 125 microns.

All with a thermal consumption of only 3 m3 of gas and an electrical consumption of only 22 kW per ton of product ready for pressing. With M&S technology, the customer was able to further benefit from a reduction in engobe consumption by 30% and a reduction in the cooking cycle from 32 to 28 minutes.

Sogutsen's choice to strengthen its raw material preparation department, once again dry and together with Manfredini & Schianchi, is confirmation that those who rely on a reliable and consolidated technology, such as MS-DRYTECH dry preparation, succeed to amortize the investment in a very short time and conquer important market shares even in periods of economic recession. MS-DRYECH means reliability, professionalism, energy saving, product quality, environmental respect and a safe investment for the future.
