M&S DRY GRINDING IN GUATEMALA

HISPANCENSA (CERAMICA HISPANO CENTROAMERICA) a well-known Guatemalan ceramic company located in the city of Oficina, has commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to install a dry grinding plant with “MS-DRY TECH” technology, for the production of over 13.000 m2 of double-fired tiles very high quality coating.

The main machines that make up the plant are: 1 PIG-8/A DRYER Mill, 1 MS/4-150 Pendulum Mill, 2 MS/X/215 SCREENS, and the FORGE HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM with weighing belt and HUMIDITY METER ' MU7685 which is confirmed to be the best method for agglomerating the dry ground dough, ensuring perfect distribution of humidity throughout the dough.

Finally, 3 ROTARY HOMOGENISING SCREENS will guarantee all the notable advantages provided by MS technology in terms of performance during the pressing phase.

The testing of the production plant is expected by autumn, which will allow HISPACENSA to produce with maximum quality at the lowest cost and with the best respect for the environment.

MS-DRY TECH HEAVY CLAY IN TUNISIA

Carthago Ceramic, the largest Tunisian ceramic manufacturer, has chosen Manfredini & Schianchi as the official supplier of its raw material preparation department for the production of very high quality bricks.

The heart of the plant will consist of a MAXI PIG hammer mill in the primary/finisher configuration and 2 MS/XIV/265 high-performance inclined screens complete with accessories.

The high productivity of the plant of over 1500 t/d associated with the very high quality of the final product of the M&S process will allow Carthago to produce bricks of all types without limestones with a notable increase in the green tensile strength, dried and cooked.


YAMAMA FACTORS INVESTS IN THE BEST GRINDING TECHNOLOGY

Yamama Factories For Red Bricks & Clay Products, a prestigious Saudi brick manufacturer, has commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to design the raw material preparation plant for the new tile factory which will be built near the capital Riyadh and not far from the holy city of Medina.

The plant will have as its main machines 1 Maxi PIG DRYER mill, 2 MOLOMAX 6/190 pendulum mills and will produce over 60 t/h of ceramic body.

The composition of the mixture was created entirely by the MIUR Technological Center of Manfredini & Schianchi and thanks to the MS-DRYTECH technology, YAMAMA will produce very high quality tiles, free of any surface defects with ceramic characteristics far superior to international standards.

Yet another MS-DRYTECH RAW MATERIALS PREPARATION PLANT IN LATIN AMERICA

The Argentine ceramic group PILGRIMAGE LOURDES focuses on Manfredini & Schianchi technology for its investments abroad, confirming its trust in the quality and reliability of the MS-DRYTECH process.

CERAMICA FLORENTINA DE CORPORACION is starting up in Costa Rica and will produce over 15.000 m2 per day of single-fired floor and wall tiles with maximum respect for the environment thanks to the very low electrical and thermal energy consumption of the MS dry grinding process.

The ceramic mixture developed entirely within the MIUR Laboratory and Research Center of Manfredini & Schianchi, as always happens with those who use MS-DRY TECH technology, will allow considerable savings as chemical additives (Deflocculants) and above all it will be possible to use local raw materials that are unusable with traditional and extremely expensive wet grinding systems.

With this further order Manfredini & Schianchi consolidates itself as the main supplier and undisputed leader in the dry preparation sector for ceramics.


M&S FELDSPATE PREGRINDING AT THE ARWANA GROUP

PT Sinar Karya Duta Abadi, part of the Indonesian ceramic giant ARWANA, commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to build the entire feldspar pre-grinding plant in the new Surabaya factory.

The production capacity is over 15 tons/h with separation cuts under 2mm and will serve an existing grinding line. The heart of the plant will be the new one SLAMMER mill which, a few months after its launch on the market, is already an established reality in terms of efficiency and energy saving.

In addition, a double-rod extractor trolley 1000 is also provided, capable of pre-crushing the incoming clods and an MS/X/215 screen complete with accessories.

The possibility of pre-grinding a raw material such as feldspar with the use of a single machine and above all with humidity levels >8% is the strong point of SLAMMER technology.

M&S TECHNOLOGY IN THE INDONESIAN FOOD INDUSTRY

PT Sentra Usahatama Jaya, a leading Indonesian group in the sugar industry, has commissioned Manfredini and Schianchi to build a sugar waste grinding, transport and dosing plant at the Propinsi Banten plant, approximately 100 km north-east of the capital Jakarta.

The heart of the plant is the new mill MIXOL capable of shredding sugar lumps from 50-60 mm down to 0.5mm in a controlled manner and with a production capacity of over 10 tons/h.

The sugar will subsequently be conveyed again to an existing screening system via innovative aero-mechanical transport systems capable of taking up very little space and not dispersing any dust into the environment.

MS technology will allow PT SUJ Sugar to be able to reuse all the waste in the production cycle and obtain greater efficiency of its production line.

PT SUJ Sugar is a leading producer of "super white" sugar in Indonesia and is the exclusive supplier of the most important confectionery industries worldwide.


IMPORTANT CREATION OF MS IN THE GRINDING OF PORCELAIN STONEWARE WASTE

The management of porcelain stoneware waste has always been an annoying problem managed in different, but never satisfactory, ways.

Now MS has developed a new plant line to simplify and reduce costs in grinding porcelain stoneware chamotte and/or other types of highly hard raw materials.

The heart of the system consists of the new SLAMMER mill which has been designed to be able to deal with and grind materials with hardness even greater than 7 mohs such as porcelain stoneware.

The final result is that despite very low transformation costs, an output grain size of 10% < 63 microns, 60% < 1 mm and 100% < 5 mm is obtained, with flow rates of 7-8 T/h feeding dimensions up to 250 mm!!

It is clear that economy and simplicity are the main aspects of this plant line capable of responding to the most difficult and onerous grinding processes.

It is also important to underline the simplicity of maintenance interventions, as the machine is equipped with doors with pneumatic openings, a complete replacement of the grinding parts can be carried out in 1 hour.

The latest plant with SLAMMER mills was built at Sant'Agostino ceramic.

M&S GROWS IN THE BRAZILIAN BRICK MARKET

Manfredini and Schianchi, continues its expansion in the Brazilian brick industry market.

The Sassuolo company is now establishing itself in the "South American giant" as a point of reference in the "Raw Materials Preparation" segment, in fact the FMM Group of Curitiba (state of Paranà), one of the most important real estate industries in Brazil, has decided to increase the quality of its buildings, to equip itself with its own brick factory.

Sensitive to respect for the environment, the FMM Group has decided to focus on a "dry" brick production technology, using the M&S raw material preparation system, called DRY-TECH.

The plant in question must treat two types of clay, with a humidity that varies from 5% in summer to 11% in winter.

The system conveys the raw materials into an MS-PIG/A type hammer mill, everything passes through an MS/XIV/265 screen equipped with 14 vibrating heads and a self-cleaning system for the mesh. The material passing through the sieve is then humidified by the MS2000 Circular Wetting Machine, which manages to guarantee a suitable humidity content for the brickwork.

Both the PIG Mill and the MS/XIV/265 Screener are equipped with automatic heating systems, particularly suitable, as in this case, for treating clays with high humidity levels.

The factory in question is located in the city of Campo do Tenente (PR) and the raw material preparation plant supplied by M&S will guarantee a daily production of 60 tons, thus offering the possibility of producing 500.000 pieces/month of bricks of various sizes and model, with a superior quality to the standard product present today in the Brazilian construction market.

PAKISTAN ALSO BELIEVES IN MANFREDINI AND SCHIANCHI TECHNOLOGY

National Tile Ceramics


National Tiles Ceramics, an important Pakistani ceramic group, has commissioned the renovation of its raw material preparation plant to Manfredini & Schianchi through the installation of the Dry-Tech dry preparation line.

The heart of the supply is the granulation-dosing phase of the powders coming from the grinding. The Forgia MS/38/F granulator (the most used granulation technology in the world in the pressed ceramic sector with "dry" bodies) together with the rotary screens installed in the press feeding, will allow National Tiles Ceramics to produce large single-fired formats from the floor and high productivity with first choice percentages above 95%.

The technology also allows for a saving of 35% in raw material transformation costs compared to the technology used previously. In addition to Pakistan, Manfredini and Schianchi has supplied dry preparation plants to Syria, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia and Thailand.
