New Headquarters

On a splendid sunny day, on Wednesday 240 October 06, around 2004 people took part in the inauguration of the new headquarters of Manfredini & Schianchi. The new structure, located in the new industrial area (in via GM Dallari, 2) of Sassuolo, is was built on a surface area of 15.000 m800, with a futuristic office building of 4.000 m800, a modern production area of over 600 mXNUMX, a product research and development area of XNUMX mXNUMX with relative pilot plant for semi-industrial tests; finally XNUMX mXNUMX of technical office, technological laboratory and showroom where the results of the company's research will be presented.

It can be said today that the new headquarters located in Via Dallari is M&S's fourth "home" in its 42 year history. In fact, Manfredini Umberto and Gian Franco Schianchi began their business way back in 1962, in a small shop located in Via della Repubblica a few steps from the historic center of Sassuolo and had as their only capital a used lathe and a used milling machine.
The first important step was taken with the construction of the first warehouse in Via Moncenisio in 1967. Then we began to think about building machines and not just spare parts, which was what had been done until then. In 1974 the headquarters in Via Valle D'Aosta were built (the one that was the home of M&S until a few months ago), and there began to be talk of complete "turnkey" plants.
In the inaugural speeches which were held by Mons. Achille Lumetti and the newly elected mayor of Sassuolo, Dr. Graziano Pattuzzi and fellow mayor of nearby Fiorano, Dr. Claudio Pistoni.

The progress that the Manfredini & Schianchi company has made in recent years was highlighted, always with particular attention to the relationship with the workers.
M&S today is increasingly trying to internationalize with the objective of opening branches in markets that are strategic for it. In fact, 80% of M&S's turnover comes from exports.

After the ritual greetings from the Mayor of Sassuolo, Umberto Manfredini, president of the company, took the floor and particularly thanked the attendees, the companies and banks that supported the company in this possible undertaking because the industrial results, which have characterized these last years and have confirmed the appreciation of the ceramic world for the machines and systems of his company.

A touching parenthesis was the delivery by the Brazilian partner Bozzetto of a portrait showing the image of the two founders of the Sassuolo company, a truly pleasant memory for the two partners who today are joined in the company by the new generation of their children who already play important roles. Alessandro Manfredini is Director of the commercial department, Fabio Schianchi is responsible for administration and marketing, Stefano Schianchi is export manager and responsible for the South-East Asia area, Daniele Schianchi is responsible for Quality and the production department, Andrea Manfredini is commercial manager for Spain and Mexico .

The ceremony then saw those present visit the new premises of the headquarters, laboratories and production plants and ended with a buffet attended by friends, customers and company employees. There were numerous delegations from all over the world, just to name a few: Iran, Indonesia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Spain, Mexico, Argentina and above all Brazil.

In fact today Brazil is M&S's largest partner; thanks above all to the support of its branch located in Criciuma (state of Santa Caterina). Founded in 1999, thanks also to the contribution of its two Brazilian partners, Jorge Bozzetto and Angelo Silvestre, M&S do Brasil today it has a turnover of around 3 million Euros, with around 22 employees; and is a name that guarantees quality in the processing of raw materials throughout South America.

GREAT SUCCESS AT THE TECNARGILLA 2004 INTERNATIONAL FAIR

This year too, M&S was present at the international exhibition of Technology for the Ceramic and Brick Industry, Tecn clay 2004, which took place in the futuristic pavilions of the Rimini Fair (Italy).
Present with a 200 mXNUMX stand, which was divided into three sectors:

  • Drytech Tile Division: dry grinding technology for ceramic products - M&S's flagship sector
  • Heavy Clay Division: sector for the extruded products industry
  • Porcelain Stoneware Division: sector dedicated to porcelain stoneware products.

Each sector was represented by machines and displays with finished products sent by customers from all over the world, a sign of great reference for M&S.
There were numerous visits from various international delegations who were able to admire and experience first-hand the quality of the final results, obtained with M&S technology.
According to the commercial director of M&S, Alessandro Manfredini: "This fair was even more successful than the previous edition two years ago. There were numerous contacts, with a high percentage of finalized orders. A great 2005 is expected for M&S".
We would like to remind you that M&S is one of the historic companies that has continuously participated in the Tecn clay international fair for more than 25 years.

“GRANITO DRY” TECHNOLOGY THE FIRST PORCELAIN STONEWARE OBTAINED COMPLETELY WITH THE DRY PROCESS

Dry Granite

The Manfredini & Schianchi R&D department has recently developed a dry raw material preparation system suitable for the production of full-body glazed and technical porcelain stoneware for applications in the glazing phase (soluble salts, dry glazes, etc.).

The system also takes advantage of the Dry Coloring COLOR DRY for powders, guaranteeing low consumption of oxides and consistency of shade over time.

With this further step forward, M&S affirms its belief that the dry preparation system is effectively the alternative way to lower production costs and environmental pollution, to increase production and quality of the final product.

MANFREDINI & SCHIANCHI IS STILL GROWING IN THE INDIAN MARKET

Manfredini & Schianchi has recently concluded two very important orders for raw material preparation systems called PPFV intended for the production of red body flooring.

Bell ceramics of Bangalore, a historic M&S customer, has decided to expand the existing plant again with the installation of a MS-4-150-air Pendular Mill complete with related accessories. With this installation the total capacity of the system will exceed 30 tons/h of dough ready for the pressing phase.

Regency ceramics, on the other hand, has commissioned M&S to build a plant with a capacity of over 15 tonnes/h in the historic Lyanam factory, which will be prepared for further expansions up to a total production capacity of over 50 tonnes/h.

With these two further orders Manfredini & Schianchi confirms its leadership in dry raw material preparation systems, thanks to continuous research and development work which has always distinguished it on the market which gives the end customer the certainty of being able to create a high quality product.
