M&S REFURBISHES PRODUCTION UNIT IN GRESTEJO (PORTUGAL)

Grestejo

The development of the brick sector continues for Manfredini & Schianchi in Portugal.
At Grestejo, 80 km from Lisbon, a new brand in the high technical value extruded floor and covering sector, the total renovation of the production unit is nearing completion, with the construction of a new and technologically advanced dry grinding plant with dosing and mixing of raw materials with the aim of obtaining a low-absorption product, with a cooking temperature of up to 1300 °C.

EXPANSION CONTINUES IN THE USA

Manfredini and Schianchi continues its development in the brick sector and confirms its world leadership with the construction of new dry raw material preparation plants in the USA.

At US Tile (USA), a tile manufacturer in the State of California, the new PIG technology hammer mill with heating system has entered into full operation, which allows the customer to process raw materials with humidity up to 13-14% in correspondence of the maximum production and functional parameters.

Elgin Butler, Texas, the adaptation of the M&S dry grinding plant is underway, with PIG technology hammer mills, for the production of exposed brick, for a production capacity of 35 tons/h.

NEW M&S PLANT FOR INTERPASTAS (PORTUGAL)

Interpastas, supplier of red paste mixtures for various local producers, has replaced the old and expensive filter pressing system, purchasing a pendulum mill from M&S and starting a production of dry ground mixtures, achieving significant advantages from the point of view of production costs and the quality of the finished product.

SOTELHA (PORTUGAL) COMMISSIONS SECOND COMPLETE PLANT TO M&S

Manfredini and Schianchi confirms its world leadership with the construction of new dry raw material preparation plants in Portugal.
Sotelha, a prestigious company in the tile sector, by virtue of the excellent results achieved with the first grinding plant in operation for three years, has commissioned a second complete plant which will be dedicated to the preparation of the mixture for the production of high quality roof tiles, rustic and enamelled.
This is the first application of this type in Portugal, and represents a clear example of process technological upgrade, aimed at product upgrade.

NEW GRINDING TECHNOLOGY AT LA GUGLIA CERAMIC

Spire

Ceramic La Guglia di Sassuolo (CBS group), a large producer of floor and wall tiles, has commissioned M&S to expand its dry raw material preparation plant.

The plant has its central heart in the innovative MS-4/150 pendulum mill which guarantees high productivity (up to 20% more than traditional pendulum mills) with extremely fine separation cuts, giving the final product a quality standard high and constant.

The new production line will come into operation by the end of the year.

"COMPACTCOLOR"+PEGASUS SYSTEM AT CERAMIC CEUSA (BRAZIL)

Ceusa, one of the most important Brazilian ceramics, has recently purchased a "COMPATCOLOR" tower from Manfredini & Schianchi for the production of technical products in porcelain stoneware.

The system located behind the press, with a simple atomized base and a series of coloring oxides (up to six) is capable of producing porcelain stoneware tiles with high aesthetic content.
The tower is composed of the following technologies:

  • Color-Dry (dry coloring of the atomized base patented since 1994)
  • Color-Flakes (an exclusive patent that allows the formation of colored flakes of various sizes, perfectly mixed and dust-free)
  • Multi-feed (to obtain veined and mixed colors)

Furthermore, there is the provision to power a second press and add a particular system for the "salt-pepper" effect.

The system on the press is then enriched by the brand new PEGASUS double loading feeder which will allow CEUSA to produce tiles of the highest quality.
