Manfredini & Schianchi, leading maker of equipment for the “dry” preparation of ceramic mixtures, is proud to present the latest achievement of its R&D Centre (see photo). It is a patented system that is installed in the main mixture processing machines (rough grinding mill, airflow grading mill and moistening/pelletising machine) to guarantee a drastic reduction of wear, constant machine performance over time, a reduced power draw and above all adaptability of the machines to raw materials with different chemical and physical properties, which are not consistent in terms of homogeneity.
The name ‘Clever’ has been chosen by virtue of the latter feature: for the first time in the history of technology for ceramic industries, a system has been designed for automatically adjusting processing machines on the basis of the moisture, hardness and grindability of the raw materials composing the ceramic mixture. If one also adds a constant production rate – with the resulting reduction of wear and power draw – and the renowned energy saving advantages and final product quality increasing properties of the M&S production process, it can be stated that production costs are reduced by over 85% with respect to conventional wet preparation systems implying the use of spray dryers.

MANFREDINI & SCHIANCHI IS HONOURED TO SERVE RAK CERAMICS AGAIN

RAK CERAMICS

A brand new line for the preparation of raw materials through dry technique with Manfredini & Schianchi technology is under installation in the seat of Rak Ceramics in Ras al Khaimah (U.A.E).

The present line with a capacity of 45 tons/hr. Will serve a new giant production line with a throughput of 40.000 m2/day of once fired prime quality wall tiles with high technical and aesthetic features.
The raw materials preparation plant contracted to the well known company from Sassuolo is the fruit of a global technological analysis purposely made by Manfredini & Schianchi together with the highly skilled technical staff of Rak Ceramics.

The ceramic group led by dr. Khater Massaad is at the world top rankings in terms of output, creativity and competitiveness.

MANFREDINI & SCHIANCHI EXPANDS INTO THE FIELD OF HEAVY CLAY PRODUCTS

LAFARGE COUVERTURE of Marseilles has ordered from M&S a system for the preparation of mixture for roof tiles, with a production capacity of over 48 tons/hour.

The heart of the system is the milling unit featuring hammer mills of the PIG-Dryer series that can refine raw materials with a moisture content of up to 13%, thanks to the patented armour plate heating system.

THE EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE OF M&S PENDULAR MILLS

Mulino Pendolare

MS pendular mills are earning the appreciation of more and more clients in the field of ceramics and bricks and of chemicals-mining. The main advantages over similar mills or over track and roller mills are:

- less wear (e.g.: with a ceramic mixture containing over 90% of material with MOHS 7 hardness, these mills can easily offer 1200 hours of non-stop work with no drop in performance);
- easy maintenance (less than two hours are needed for routine maintenance);
- a low consumption of electricity (less than 15 kW/ton), unlike roller and track mills that have a consumption that is 30% higher;
- an extremely low thermal consumption (< 5 m3/tons of natural gas). Unlike track and roller mills, pendular mills do not call for the raw material to be dried to reach a 0-1% moisture content before being milled;
- an extremely accurate particle size of the outgoing product (up to 99% <40 microns, depending on the type of separator);
- a high production output (up to 35 tons/h);

Over 150 machines/systems installed all over the world confirm that M&S is the ideal partner for customers who wish to reduce the cost of the production process whilst maintaining a high standard of quality of the finished product.

MURUDESHWAR CERAMICS (INDIA) CHOOSES M&S TECHNOLOGY

Last January Manfredini & Schianchi concluded another important contract for the supply of a “PPFV” system for preparing ceramic mixtures with the dry technique.
The system has been purchased for the ceramic division of the Murudeshwar Group in Bangalore. The nerve-centre of the system is the new MS-6-190 Pendular Mill (for the first time in India), which, along with the renowned PIG/8/A hammer mill, guarantees a production output of 25-30 tons/h with an energy consumption reduced by 80% with respect to traditional wet milling systems.
The system will supply mixture to a production line that will produce, by means of two-stage process, up to 30,000 m2/day of once-fired red body floor tiles with high standard of quality.
