M&S GROWS, IN THE MIDDLE EAST
|
Manfredini & Schianchi srl, based in Sassuolo and leading manufacturer of raw material processing systems for the ceramic industry, continues its development in the Middle East area.
Ehsan Tile, an important Iranian company, at the outskirts of Teheran, has entrusted M&S with the supply of two systems.
The first is a dry milling system for the production of 20,000 square metres of floor and wall tiles made of red body vitrified stoneware. This is the first system employing the innovative MS-6/190 Pendulum Mill, and the MS/14/265 high efficiency screens; its production capacity is truly outstanding. The second is a pre-milling system for hard materials (feldspar), which consists of two mills with rotating rings.
Anwar Ceramic Tile, the leading ceramic industry of Oman, will be receiving from M&S a dry milling system for the production of wall tiles, namely rapid double-firing, with a production capacity of 9,000 m2/day; whereas another line will be dedicated to the production of 12,000 m2/day of once-fired wall and floor tiles.

"PPVF" SYSTEM FOR THE PREPARATION OF CERAMIC MIXTURES
|

|
The M&S "dry" system for preparing ceramic mixtures, called PPVF, is the most innovative currently available.
The main advantages, with respect to conventional wet and dry systems using track and roller mills of the Polysius type, are:
-
Possibility to use clay with a moisture content of up to 15%, without having to use a dryer
-
Possibility to use clay with a moisture content of up to 35% by using the Ms-DRM drying system
-
A lower total investment for the turnkey system
-
A lower space requirements
-
Versatile plant management
-
A considerable reduction of costs, namely up to 16?/ton (10/? ton with the DRM drying system)
-
No condensation due to evaporation during the spray drying and granulating operations involving the fluid bed dryer
-
Adjustment and control of the particle size curve
-
Elimination of organic and ferrous particles in the mixture
-
Moistening and dust pelletising with automatic moisture control
-
Loading at the press
-
A considerable increase of the ceramic characteristics of the final product (more press strokes, a greater breaking load of the green, dried and fired product)
-
A smoother surface of the final product, which reduces the use of engobe and glaze
-
A better performance of the kiln thanks to the consistent moisture content of the mixtures
-
A guaranteed final product
This system is ideal for the production of single-fired, double-fired, glazed porcelain stoneware tiles and prestigious extruded products (clinker, terra cotta vases, trim pieces, etc.). 150 units operating all over the world - for a total capacity of 800,000,000 m2/year - attest to the quality of this system.

MANFREDINI & SCHIANCHI GROWS, ALL OVER THE HEAVY CLAY WORLD.
|
M&S is continuing its expansion throughout the world with its supplies of technology for the dry preparation of raw materials in the following countries:
Spain – at Tejas Perez Garcia, an important Andalusian company, based in Bailen, the main Spanish roof brick production area, M&S has completed a milling system for the production of prestigious Arabian-style roof bricks. Primary milling is performed by a MS/P.I.G hammer mill; the material is then processed in a Pendulum Mill and hence moistened by means of a MS2000 moistening machine.
Saudi Arabia – to Al Khayyat Red Bricks, renowned company of Kingdon, M&S supplied a system for milling fired brick scraps. The supply included the electrical equipment, suction system and supporting structures. The nerve centre of this system is the huge MAXI-P.I.G. hammer mill, capable of milling more than 200 tons a day of reject materials.
Mexico – at Ladrillera Mecanizada, M&S refurbished the raw material preparation department, by supplying a set of machines for pre-milling and moistening and completed the job with the suction system for the pendulum mill.

M&S TECHNOLOGY AT "CBC 2"
|

|
CBC of Pigneto di Prignano (Italy), a well-known producer of ceramic bodies for single and double-firing that serves almost the entire ceramic district of Sassuolo, has commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to supply the processing machinery for their new production plant to be opened in Pigneto (CBC 2) on the site of the former Ferrari tile company.
The heart of the supply comprises one PIG/8/A hammer mill and two MS-4-150-AIR pendular mills, for a total production capacity of 40 tons/h. With this system, CBC confirms their leadership in the supply of dry processed bodies in the Sassuolo district, and this is precisely the reason why they chose the Dry-tech process of Manfredini & Schianchi, who for more than forty years have supplied complete systems for the preparation of ceramic raw materials throughout the world.

BELL CERAMICS BANGALORE DOUBLES ITS CAPACITY
|
Bell Ceramics, a well-known ceramic group in India, has recently commissioned M&S to double the dry preparation of raw materials department at its Bangalore plant.
With this supply, Bell will reach production of more than 22,000 m2/day of red body floor tile, thus satisfying the increasing demand for this product for which Bell has distinguished itself throughout the Indian market in terms of aesthetic features and consistent quality.

M&S CONTINUES EXPANSION IN THE BRAZILIAN MARKET
|

|
M&S also has a branch at Criciuma in Brazil. The company's penetration of the Brazilian market began in 1994 through a partnership with Bozan Automaçao. Following a major commercial penetration effort, the leading Brazilian tile manufacturers soon became M&S customers.
Two years ago, this success persuaded the company in cooperation with the founders of Bozan, Jorge Bozzetto and Angelo Silvestre to open a production unit with a workforce of about twenty people to supply complete turnkey dry-process grinding plants, in Brazil.
