DRY MILLING PLANTS

KAJARIA CERAMICS - India
DRY MILLING PLANTS

Dry milling system for the preparation of raw materials

This system produces over 18 tons/h of ceramic mixture for red body single-firing floor tiles. The main advantage was the development of a mixture composed mainly of local raw materials, with no pre-micronised inert materials that increase costs. Thanks to this solution, the customer can product a top quality product at a particularly competitive price, suitable for wide-scale distribution.

ESHAN TILE - Iran

Dry milling system for the preparation of raw materials

The main feature of this system is its high production capacity - over 30 tons/h - obtained by means of the MS-6-190 AIR pendular finishing mill. Thanks to this great production capacity, the customer can producer over 25,000 square metres of red body single-firing wall and floor tiles in a single system, thanks to a high standard of automation and versatility.

DRY MILLING PLANTS

Dry milling system for the preparation of raw materials

This system produces over 18 tons/h of ceramic mixture for red body single-firing wall and floor tiles.
The main feature of this system is that it can handle ingredients that, owing to their viscosity, could not be handled by wet milling systems. The customer obtained a considerable reduction in costs (energy, heat, electricity, labour and raw materials) and an increased quality of the final product, which proved to be more resistant both in its green and dried/fired form.

CERAM NEGAR - Iran

Dry milling system for the preparation of raw materials

The system produces very prestigious trim pieces (border tiles, skirting tiles, etc.). Apart from reducing production costs by 80% with respect to the traditional wet milling system, the main advantage of the system is that it enables the production of particularly smooth ceramic supports, which are suitable for the application of high gloss glazes, with a drastic reduction of engobe. This is possible thanks to perfect moistening / pelletising obtained in the vertical MS38KSTB moistening machines and to very accurate press feeding by means of the MS Rotary Screens-Blenders.
