The MS bucket elevators are used for the vertical transport of solid materials in powder form or other sizes. They are sturdily built in sheets reinforced with electrically welded section bars, and are internally treated with chloro-caoutchouc.
The elevators consist of a set of rods with a platform at the top for inspection. Inspection door are foreseen in the material loading and unloading area. The buckets are available in polyethylene or pressed steel and are bolted on the belt conveyor in special three layer rubber.
The bucket elevator is driven by means of a motor and a swinging gear motor.
There are two types of bucket elevators used in Manfredini & Schianchi plants:
