Manfredini & Schianchi’s Rotating Screens allows to achieve with a single operation two important results:
-
A final screening of the mixture in order to eliminate the agglomerates which create in the final processing and storage of the material
-
A perfect mixing and an homogeneous distribution of the mass on the press mould thus increasing the first choice percentage of the tiles.

The Rotating Screen has been adopted both in ceramic industries with raw materials dry preparation process and in ceramic industries with spray-dry mass prepared.

Crater-like surface |
|
As you can see in the pictures, these defects are casued by grains and clots present on the surface of the tile.
If you do not adopt some efficient cleaning and screening system like rotating screens, these defects will persist.
